No, only a trained lactation consultant can effectively diagnose any oral function challenges and resolve these.
I am able to identify whether you would likely need to seek the support of a lactation consultant though and guide you to ones local to you.
One of the biggest challenges that NHS caregivers have is their ability to spend proper time with you postnatally. Often meetings are quick and quite process driven.
With postnatal doula care, we can take our time! I can watch you feed your baby and really hold the space you need to explore your challenges.
I can also follow up with a wealth of information and resources to support you. Often we will agree a number of visits so you’re able to go forward with a plan and ongoing, consistent support with a familiar face.
